yeah we have pretty much the same taste. very earthy, contemporary.
sometimes i like to change it up, but if it were up to him, the house would be decorated in all browns reds and greens!

DH leaves most of the decorating to me. He has some input but most of the time, he is very passive in this department. When it came to picking out furniture, we had an equal say & could not be happier. I think he has a better vision for the outside of our house.
When it came to paint, I was the one that picked the colors. He would leave it all white. I think he is scared of color

DH just leaves the decorating to me. He knows that I am pretty good at it and he loves what I have done. It works for us.

we have pretty similar tastes and we're usually able to come to a compromise. DHs is a little more adventurous and likes more oddball stuff than i do, but we are usually able to find things that kind of meet in the middle....

We tend to agree on mostly everything when decorating. When we do disagree, we explain to each other why we want it a certain way. We've learned to go with each other's choices to try things, as nothing is ever permanent.

Luckily we have the same taste and it's been pretty easy so far. Although we're both very simple, so that helps.
For you and your DH... can you compromise? Or let him pick a room to do and you do a room. It's better than white right?

My husband couldn't care less about decorating. If it were up to him, we would still be living the same way we did when we moved in 29 years ago.

I usually rely heavily on his opinions because we have similar tastes...and he's an artist, so he knows colors a lot better than I do.
Most of the paint choices are his and he usually picks out the curtains usually.
But, if we disagree....he usually lets me have my way
