Reccomended registry items

what items do you recommend having on your registry? I am beginning to research all the different brands and figured this would be extremely helpful

Re: Reccomended registry items

I got the book Baby Bargains and chose items from things that were written about there, as well as recommendations from other moms.

I recommend buying that book. I learned SO much from it. It is so worth every penny. It made it so easy for me to do my registry. Seriously run out and get it!

Re: Reccomended registry items

My DD is 3 months old and these are the things I've used again and again:

number 1 - the Boppy - if you are breastfeeding, it's a godsend.

2. ultimate crib sheet - an easy to remove sheet (waterproof) that goes over your pretty crib sheet. Changing your crib sheet is a wicked pain and the ultimate crib sheet just snaps on and off - definitely register for it.

3. bouncy seat - My DD had a bouncy seat/swing combo and hated it - My mom got this at a garage sale and I stole it cause DD loves it. Definitely get a bouncy seat that has something your child can look at - My mom got fisher price Aquarium bouncer - it has a water 'scene' with moving fish and water - DD is captivated by it.

4. Baby Einstein videos - DD didnt get into them until 2.5 months - but now I can get 27 minutes (the length of baby beethoven) to myself every morning. Thank you baby einstein!

4. Tiny Love Mobile - forget about the other mobiles that match your crib bedding- this one by Baby Einstein has funky shapes, lots of movement and plays music for 15 minutes - who cares that it's not that pretty - it's by far the best one.

oh - DEFINITELY register for lap pads - these super absorbent pads by 'especially for baby' - they can go in the washing machine. I put them on the changing table cushion - great for soaking up accidents when DD pees the second I have a diaper off her.
