That's It!!
I really hope I get a BFP this cycle but if I dont from now on the only thing I am doing is bding every other day starting day 10. I am tired- I think more emotionally than anything else- all these tricks and too much obsessing about it- I know I am obsessed bc both dh and my mom confronted me about it . I think about it almost 24/7 - I try to keep occupied but... anyone feeling the same sorry sooo long

YES!!!!!!! My dh says relax it will happen! Well, you tell me how we (women) can relax while ttc when all we do is bbt, opk, herbal remedies, preseed, late af, etc. every month! If I hear that from ANYONE ANYMORE I think I am going to scream!! After 5 months already the 'relax' is not the word I want to hear. I want to hear BFP!! and babydust to you!

Re: That's It!!
YES YES YES I know EXACTLY how you feel. I got my AF today....I am absolutely disgusted. On my way home from work, I passed about a dozen moms with strollers and broke down into tears. BD is no fun anymore....and while this is an extreme thing to admit.....I feel as if this whole thing is ruining my marraige. What was once an act of love and fun is now nothing but sperm donation. I'm with ya sista. In all seriousness,,,,I think your plan of EOD from day 10 on is awesome. It removes a lot of stress yet covers all of your bases. If you keep trying differnt tactics, SOMETHING HAS TO BREAK. It just has to!

Well said. I am so tired of hearing "Relax" already. I am emotionally drained from all this. This part of TTC I totally did not expect. I too have decided to just put all the opks, calendars, calculators aside for a while and just go at it every other night.
Good to you all ladies

Re: That's It!!
It is very easy to become preoccupied with TTC, especially if you have been trying for a while without a BFP. Let's face it ladies, our "womanhood" is on the line here. There are days when I think it can easily get out of hand. On the flip side, there are benefits of temping, charting and OPK's. There are many women who have discovered problems with their cycles just by using these methods and avoided wasting a year or more of their lives trying on their own before seeing a doctor.

Re: That's It!!
I agree. I threw out the OPK for a few months and am BD every other day and trying not to obssess about it. I have been more of a lurker when on come on to this bd, which has been rare these days, just to get my mind off of TTC. I have 2 SIL's who are pregnant- one with twins, and I feel like it is all around me, so yes I completely understand! here is some baby dust ! and no AF

Re: That's It!!
I'm not TTC yet, but I will be next year.... so I can't relate yet, but know I will be able to soon
this is the unfortunate catch-22.... there seems to be no way out... OF COURSE every woman TTC obsesses about the details and it begins to consume every thought.... like wedding planning, just with much higher stakes I frankly am not looking forward to the TTC experience.... I can get really compusive about stuff, despite me knowing that we really have little control over conception. We try to time things correctly, and then we can only hope for the best...
I think the only solution is to restore balance in your life. Likely, you began several new rituals and routines around TTC.... and you sacrificed several other activities that were once in your life (going out to dinner with friends, getting a coffee in the morning). Try to bring back as many of those old routines as much as possible, and remove most or your new routines.... only keep track of your cycle, and BD when it's time.... You could also begin new routines that are NOT TTC related.... morning walks, evening walks with friends....
Distractions have always helped restore my equilibrium in similar all-consuming situations.... it can't hurt to try it...
and it really is true, you know couples are always blessed with baby dust when they stop trying... my nephew is living proof! it must be the stress reduction
