where to get a spare tire
I know this is a random question, but a few years ago the tires were stolen off my car and the autobody place used my spare to get my car onto the tow truck. Well, they apparently never gave me back the spare. I didn't realize this til a long time later. So, DH and I never take my car on trips because he's nervous that if anything were to happen we'd be screwed without a spare. Can I jsut go to a tire place and buy a spare?

Re: where to get a spare tire
I would check a few of the junk yards in Medford. Go to this websiteUsed Car Parts Type in all your car info and pick the part you need and it will tell you what junk yards have the parts needed. They will be cheaper than mavis because you have to buy the tire as well as the rim form them. Also they might not know the exactly spare rim that your car uses.

Honestly if you are going to buy one anyway I'd just get a full-sized tire & rim. Mavis seems to have consistently the best prices on good brand-named tires. ETA: Also, know that any spare has a limit as to how fast you can drive on them & how far you can drive on it before it becomes dangerous.

If the car has a well that the spare fits into and if she buys a full size rim and tire it will not fit into that well. It really depends on how the spare is stored. But if it's a well and the rim and tire wont fit in there I wouldn't want to drive with it loose in my trunk.
