If you have a long LP...
Do you have a rule about when you start testing? My luteal phase USED to be around 14 days - lately it's been more like 16, 17.
I used to try to hold out til day 12 - not sure I can hang in there til 14 or 15!
I'm 10DPO and FF recommends I wait til Thu the 26th to test 
Anyone else with a long LP?

I had this last month our first month TTC. Even my TCOYF software congratulated me on being pregnant.  It was disappointing when AF arrived but I think something went off to make me late too. A possible pg but not enough sticky vibes maybe???
I called my Dr. on this and waiting to hear from him on what to do if I get any info I will pass it along.
Sorry I am not more helpful but I can relate

I'm getting it on both ends - my cycles have changed a bit (I think since my m/c) so I'm Oing later (CD15-17) and my luteal phase has lengthened. At this point I've realized the pattern so I'm no longer driving myself crazy thinking AF is late - I know my cycle is just longer.
I asked DH last night when he thinks we should start testing this cycle and he said, "let's hang in there til your perioud is late" - that's literally another week (FF says to test on 7/26). I have some self-control - but I doubt that much

I had a 16 day LP and tested on 14dpo and got a very dark bfp. I was spotting before that and thought that is was af so I didn't bother testing. I also was away at the time. If I had been home I would have started at 12dpo. I used to get the ic's so I could test as often as I wanted and not feel guilty about wasting money.

Now I start playing psychological games with myself (I know, I'm losing it completely). I'm at 11DPO now - my bargain with myself is, my temp has to be a certain temp (say 98.3) on CD12 in order to test (Dollar Tree of course). Absolutely ridiculous - I think I'll need to be committed before I see my first child.
