Update on my concerns with ViaCord and confidentiality
Remember when I posted that I felt that ViaCord was giving me too much information about the fact that a friend of mine was using them? Well, today I decided to utilize their gift registry and give my friend a contribution toward her ViaCord account. She had the baby last week and I wanted to give a gift. So, I went on to her registry page at ViaCord. Once I got to her page, it listed her account balance. I guess that is done to show how much I can possibly give. I do not like the fact that it listed her balance!!! I guess I could have assumed how much she owes them b/c I know their prices, but still!!!! I don't like that! I still gave her my contribution and it was an easy way to give a gift, especially b/c I'm not really able to go out and shop so much these days. Funny, but with all my criticism of them, I am leaning toward ViaCord!

I think I already have a $150 coupon but I swear there was a $250 coupon in my doctor's office waiting room a few months ago. It is not there now and I did not take one at the time.
Oh, I should mention---my friend told me that ViaCord's courier was there in about 15 minutes after they called to arrange the pick up when she had the baby. That is amazing, especially b/c getting it to them quickly guarantees more cells preserved.
