stuffed nose
Does anyone have this? I swear my nose has been stuffed and runny for weeks now. Do you think it is possible to develop allergies while pregnant? Recently anytime I am around my dogs (sleeping on my lap or in the car) I start to sneeze and have to blow my nose constantly. I was never allergic to my dogs before. Is this possible?

Re: stuffed nose
congestion is definitely a common pregnancy symptom. Something about the mucus mebranes expanding, which causes constant stuffiness.

yes I just finished reading this:
"Nasal stuffiness, often with accompanying nosebleeds, is a common complaint in pregnancy. That's because the high levels of estrogen and progesterone circulatiing in the body bring increased blood flow to the mucous membranes of the nose, causing them to soften and swell--much as the cervix does in preparation for childbirth."

Re: stuffed nose
Mine has been pretty bad lately. I don't know if it's the weather or the nose situation is worse in the 3rd trimester.
