ARRRRGGHHH!!! DH vent!
OK- so let me start by saying i LOVE my MIL!! We get along so well. SHe is great. I spent a whole week with her without DH and we had a blast.
Now MIL was planning on visiting with SIL Oct. 2. It was going to be so special- I planned so many activities, and they woudl have been with us for the Jewish holidays- I was so looking forward to it. Well unfortunately no one realized that SIL's visa had expired so they couldn't come on that day. Today they have an appointment with the visa office and if they get the visa they *might* come any day now.
Now the problem is that we are moving- on 11/1 we are subletting our apartment in Manhattan and moving to LI until April. We need to pack up mostly everything. Also, since they told me they would be coming 10/2- 10/15, my best friend planned to come visit me for my 30th birthday next weekend. Also, I am pregnant- so a little emotional anyway.
Well DH told me that he doesn't think they are going to come- and I said I hope they don't come now. He got all pissy with me that I don't want his family coming.
I told him that I have always wanted them to come- I even sent them a long e-mail at the end of September filled with activities we coudl do if they wanted (when I thought they were coming in early October). I just think that with the move- it'll be too much. Not to mention the next two weekends are booked, so we couldn't do anything with them anyway. They wanted to go away- and we would not be able to.
Also, my MIL and maybe SIL will be coming in April when the baby is due. If they come now, they weren't sure if they would be able to come for a long visit when we have the baby.
I love my inlaws- but they really didn't plan this well at all. If we weren't moving- I wouldn't mind- but with the move... its just too much for me. I won't be able to enjoy myself with them because I will keep thinking about all the things I need to do for teh move. DH thinks it will only take an hour to pack everything up. He has NO CLUE!!!!!

Don't you hate it when men make things sound so easy to do when really they have no clue.
DH is like that. He thinks he has the solutions to everything when he just doesn't get it sometimes...
