Is peanut butter ok in

the 3rd trimester?? I think i read that somewhere but now that I am in the 3rd i cant rememeber. Thanks

I've eaten lots of PB in my 3rd trimester with both pg's and throughout my pg's.

I take those studies with a grain of salt and my doc never said anything about staying away from it.

I think that I read some where that it's ok unless you have known family allergies to nuts.

Just to be sure you should call your Dr.'s office to ask if you are worried.

i think i remember something like.. dont eat large amount of it bc it can give your baby peanut allergies. does that sound familiar?

I see my doc on Tues so i will ask than.

Def ask your doc.

I don't believe eating it will give your kid allergies. My mom ate nothing but chocolate milk shakes when she was pg with me-she had bad m/s whole pg, hospitalized and everything-and I have a deathly allergy to pine nuts and no other nut. She ate no pb!

ON the other hand, my dad has seasonal allergies and mild food allergies.
Go figure!

My doc told me not to eat pb. We have no peanut allergies in our families. We do have other allergies though.

hmm well i guess its ok.... in moderation. i cant see eating it everyday, perhaps thats what the studies mean

aslo if you are BF you should not eat to much Peanut butter due to allergies as well :)

Honestly, this is the first time I am hearing anything about peanut butter and jelly...I had it a few times and I was fine...Unless YOU or YOUR husband have allergies to peanuts, then I don't see a reason to worry...this whole "restriction" list is getting ridiculous...but I guess its bc some people lack common sense...
