So close to ready

This weekend I ran into a girl I grew up with and gradauted with. She was walking her 1 year old son and then told me how her twin sister just had a baby 6 months ago. I was so happy for them both, but then when I drove away I was crying. This is the third time this month my heart aches and I start to cry when I hear a birth story. I told DH I am ready to start trying within the next two months. I'm still scared but I think I am ready, especially since we have no clue how long it will take. My job situatino is still very unstable right now, but I don't care. I think things will just work themself out. Just thought I'd share.

I hear you. I think it's perfectly normal to be scared and conflicted about making the decision to tcc. And you are right that you never know how long it will take, that's a scary thing about it that you have to face. What did DH say when you said you want to try soon?

DH was on board. He is scared too, but as he says you still have nearly 10 months from when you get PG to prepare.

I was also ambivalent about ttc. What is interesting is that the longer it takes to conceive, the more I want it. I guess it's the old saying "You want what you can't have".

It's normal to be scared. Heck, I'm 8 months pregnant and we're still scared. We are also excited. It's such a time of emotions.
