I need motivation
The thought of packing up all my stuff again is really depressing. I have moved every 1.5 years for the last 11 years and I just can't get motivated. Send me some motivation dust please. Hopefully, we will be closing in 4 weeks and I don't even know where to begin.

Give yourself a treat foir every 5 boxes packed - like a bar of chocolate, tv time, etc

Well, we're closing next Wednesday and I haven't started packing at all yet. We probably won't move until a few more weeks though.
It's never fun, and I've also moved a lot in the last 10 years or so. Put it this way, you probably haven't accumulated as much stuff as some people do when living in one place a really long time.
I always start with something easy like our books. Once you do get going, it's never so bad.

I agree, always start with something easy. That will get you rolling. Books is super easy, or DVD's, etc.

I agree - also - I have moved A LOT and one of the things that helped was going to public storage and buying GOOD boxes and packing material - it made it SO much easier than scrounging for boxes and packing materials. Good Luck!

I got motivated.  I packed about 8 boxes this weekend with the help of my mom. We did my entire china cabinet and some of the kitchen

I would love too but my friends all live out on eastern LI and we are on Staten Island.
