another O question *UPDATED
I've been on here couple of times this past week because something strange is going on with my cycle this month. Here's some background info.
I have a 32-35 day cycle I'm never sure exactly when I ovulate--OPT don't work on me-I try them every month-never get any lines I've been going to an RE since February and they have been giving me a shot to force ovulation. I took this month off from the RE because I was getting side effects from clomid. Anyway here I am ay day 16--I spotted last night and this morning--something that never happens to me. I posted earlier about this and someone said it might be ovulation bleeding (Thank YOu for your help). After all that typing, here's my question. DO you splot before you ovulate, during or after? DH and I BD this morning-- Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks updated*** Thank you all for you responses. I started OPTs on day 14 and I'm on day 19--still taking them and no line yet. I do it when I get home from work--at about 5:00. The spotting is still here, not constant though. I do have a very dull pain on my left side. DH and I BD on Satuday and Sunday morning early. I'll continue to use the

Re: another O question
I think the spotting happens after ovulation, due to the egg having popped or hormonal changes.

Re: another O question
Thank you this article was very helpful. If the spotting occurs after ovulation, I guess I missed out this month?? We also BD on Tuesday so I guess there might be a slight chance...we'll see.

Re: another O question
can i ask when did you stop taking the OPKs? I went thru two packs - my cycle is as long as yours. i didnt ovulate until day 23 or 24. Is it possible you stopped taking them too early?

Actually it can happen before, during or after ovulation. I spot for the 5 days leading up to ovulation but not on the day that i ovulate. everyone is different.....

I totally agree! I have never spotted during o, I have gotten some nice pain on my sides though.
When are you taking the OPK's? Try to do them in the late afternoon, evening, most tests you are not suppose to use FMU.
have you considered maybe temping? It's easy once you get in a groove and will tell you a whole lot about your cycle and most of all your temps can tell you when to start those OPK's.
I thought I would be too obbessed with charting, but the opposite happened, I felt "in control" of something in which we all know TTC is wayyy out of our control.
Good Luck!
