I will post anything that I know I wouldn't mind if it got out. And as for PAST pot use... if i was to go for security clearance, I would have to be honest about that anyway. So I have nothing to hide in that respect.
Only really personal details and family details will I keep guarded.

I am more careful about what I post now than I was in the past. Lessons learned by being on here for years and seeing what can happen when you reveal too much, lurkers find out, or a friend becomes an enemy.
But there are still certain things that I just don't care if people know...

The answer to this question is simple. I think people who are more open about their lives post things that you (and others) may consider "risque" because they are sharing themselves with the community. Some people are just more open than others.

I don't really like to post my family issues or private personal details about my life.

i agree w/the op....people post pics of themselves and their families, and then blab away about their most personal business-i dont get it
unless they just dont care, dont they realize the consequenses of this?
i only say this bc there have been posters on here that I may know one way or another(from recognizing their pictures that they post) and I know wayyyyyy more about them than I ever wanted to-lol!

And what do I care if someone recognizes me. I never go out anyway so I doubt I would ever see anyone.

a few people on the boards have had the unfortunate experience of nosey lurkers blabbing the details of certain posts to others.
