Update: I could put away the Iron

and hang up my apron. My Housewife days are over!!

UpDATe: I accepted the Position. At the end, there is a lot of value in IVF benefits and 7 week vacation. My first day is on Wednesday.

The only thing is that I think the benefits are up to $20k not $30k. Does anyone know how supplemental insurance works? In otherwords, I want to still use my husbands but add my new employer as well.

I am seriously thinking of taking it b/c that alone would be worth it. But, it just su cks knowing that you are not getting paid what your worth. Ya know? But, on the other hand, the job seems so NOT stressful which I think I need right now especially during our ttc efforts

I hear you on the salary issue. I also work for a not for profit which is all grant funded so I know how hard that can be but i think between the benefits and having the support and flexibility needed for all of this stuff it sounds good to me =)

I think you have so many more benefits than most people can dream of. My job is extremely stressful and the money is not that good. I'm sticking it out because of the benefits. If it's a nice job, then that's worth a lot of money to me!

I would take it. $30k in IF coverage and 7 weeks vacation is awesome. If you break it down with your IF coverage and vacation time you are probably making the same as someone who has 1 week vacation and no IF coverage at $45K.

Thanks girls! I just wanted to make sure I wasnt nutz! I told her I would give her til 3 pm to let her know. Also, she mentioned that I could also do side jobs within the agency for extra $$.

7 weeks is nice knowing that I could use that towards maternity leave or visit my family in TX or my many doctors visits for IVF or an actual Vacation!

I'm not sure if insurance companies work that way with stuff like IVF. Are you going to take the insurance at your new job as your primary and have your husband's as the secondary? I would definitely ask about something like that...
