Ok, how many of you do monthly...
breast exams? Just curious, I realized I hardly never do them and I know I should, but it just slips my mind I need to make it a priority, I know it is a life or death situation.

there ya go, I'm gonna make it his responsibilityk, that's about all he does around the house anyway At keast now I can pu tmore emphasis on the importance of his "only" chore.

:::dragging out soap box::: A VERY dear friend of mine, Laura, was screwing around with her Fiancee one day and he felt a lump...less than one month later she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in her breasts, lungs and bone. She has had NO syptoms what so ever and she is under the age that is "recommended" that you get your first mammogram.
These are important and only take a few minutes! What do you have to lose by doing them? I can tell you there is a LOT more to lose by not doing them.

I do them in the shower. I found a couple in my breasts a few years ago (they are fatty deposits) so I am very aware of them, the importance of exams and what to look for.
PLEASE, everyone should do this - it only takes a minute.

Im so sorry for your friend, Deb. I hope she fights it quickly
She's trying! She goes to chemo, three weeks on and one week off. It's stage 4 though, so that scares me.
Also, bumping for the morning crew as it's a good reminder!

I do because it runs in my family and my mom just had a scare...it takes like 2min and you can do it in the shower........i let dh do it for me sometimes

I do them every month, probably more than that. I have a good feel of my boobies alot and I definitely know what is and isn't normal. Thats how I found a lump when I had one a few years back. I also am involved with a family history clinic and I go for regular mammograms, I just had one about 3 weeks ago. It came back normal.

I do them, although its not on a regular schedule I do think it comes out to about once a month or so.
My doctor once told me you should do them when you have AF - that reminds you to do it each month.
