Anyone who has been to Ireland and had bad jetlag?
I swear, all I have been doing is sleeping.
I go to bed at 8:00 PM, which is not me at all and wake up at 8:00 AM!
I am so tired!!!
When will my body be back to normal???? I sick of sleeping!

When did you get back? I am usually ok after a day or so when I get back.

I went to London (which I think is about the same amount of time) and I had a weird sleeping schedule. It took me about a week to get back to normal.

Last time I went (London) the first three days were rough but after about day 5 I was back to normal.

Well, I got back almost two weeks ago from Greece, which is another two hours behind Ireland I think... It took me at least a week to stop being ready for bed by 7 30.. And even now, I don't feel quite normal-- but that can be stress!

I've been to Ireland 5 times, and the jetlag is actually harder for me when I go there. Each time it gets easier and usually takes about 2 days to get back to normal. It did however take me a full week to adjust from Hawaii.

I am used to it now. It takes me still 3 days to get over it.
The key is to go back to the US scheduled right away even if you are tired or not tired.

Re: Anyone who has been to Ireland and had bad jetlag?
You shouldn't get jet lag going back to NY as you are going back in time. You need to try to NOT sleep...stay awake and get yourself back into the NY Time zone.
Whenever I fly home I eat lunch, dinner etc and stay up until 11 pm (Which is what time I usually go to bed) and I never ever get jet lag going East. When I come back, well thats another story!!!
Give it a few days!
