have a problem please help
hi everyone i find myself in an awkward situation i recently interviewed for a supervisor position with my company the business manager called me into her office today and i think they are going to offer me the job....the problem is i weighed the pros and cons of the position and i dont want it anymore what should i do?? anyone that has any advice i would greatly appreciated your feed back..

you can just be honest and say after careful thought and consideration you want to decline.
the good thing is that they think highly of you, however the bad thing is that if you dont take this job you may not be asked again.

I appreciate the opportunity, but after further reflection, I'm not sure this is the right path I see for myself and my career.
You could also blame it on money.

I agree. if you're chosen and you turn it down, I am not sure how that would be perceived...

okay i work for a hospital so i am part of a union the benefits are awesome and your position is secure....i have 9 to 5 hours which is great and no weekends..i make around 19 dollars an hour and do medical billing what i really enoy doing.
the supervisior position pays more but you are not union (which means if you dont work out they can get rid of you) there are much longer hours and the stress level of the position is thru the roof you have to deal with nasty doctors and deal with employess calling out sick (which happens ALOT)
i also starting zoloft not to long ago due to severe anxiety i just think at this stage the extra responsiblit may throw me for a loop

This is real simple. If you know you like what you do and you don't want a promotion then you can simply say that you decided you were happy where you are. You've given it some thought and you really like what you do and are happy.
