I think that is for her own safety b/c she is a celebrity and other inmates might try to hurt her.
Exactly. Supposedly other inmates have been writing her letters saying they were going to beat her up, etc when she got there

She violated the terms of her DIU/DWI probabation by driving - and her license was suspended as part of the offense. So judge ordered jail time.

and I believe she showed up late to court- and the Judge was ******
getting jail time for this offense is not the norm- they are making an example of her
Nicole Richie's License has yet to be suspened
