Noisey Neighbors
So, our next door neighbors are crazy partier's.
Long story how the house wound up in a 21 year old's hands, but it is him living there as well as 2 male room mates, no idea how old they are.
And they party ALL THE TIME. It's crazy, 4am this weekend they were still outside, drinking, and carrying on.
I have called the cops a couple of times, but it doesn't seem like it does anything.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
ETA: I have also spoken with 1 resident personally and so has DH.

Wow, that really stinks. Where are you located (nassau or suffolk)? I cannot believe they didnt do anything. I would personally call again, that is interfering with your quality of life.

Re: Noisey Neighbors
You could complain to the town.

Re: Noisey Neighbors
I would keep calling the police. If they don't do anytning to stop the noise, then I would contact my local legislatore. If that didn't work, I would then contact the office of the county executive. You are entitled to a certain quality of life and the people in this house are not letting you enjoy it.

Grrrrrr I hate obnoxious people. Unfortunately, you can not choose your neighbors. Just continue reporting them and elevate it until you get some sort of response. Most towns have quiet laws past 11PM. Otherwise, wake up early and mow your lawn right under their bedroom window

Re: Noisey Neighbors
We are in Suffolk. Someone once told us to go down to the local precinct and file a formal complaint. I suppose I'll try that next, I have nothing to lose at this point.
It's just so aggravating. Especially because our guest room which will be a nursery when the time comes has a window looking to their backyard. Just what I need a baby hearing.
I wouldn't mind a loud party here and there. But I also don't appreciate some of the "deals" going on outside.

Not a bad idea! I'll just have my nephews start playing outside reallllly early next time they stay over.

Re: Noisey Neighbors
What town do you live in? Some town of noise laws, actually I think most do. I would keep calling the cops and the cops should be ticketing them if it is really bothersome to the neighbors. Maybe they will figure it out when they keep getting tickets and have to keep paying them
ETA: Try calling the town also to see what your rights are. I would try to get it taken care of before you have a baby b/c you do not want to be dealing with that.
