How much B6 is too much?

Hi-
I know I have posted before about B6, but I have another question:

How much is considered too much? I have been taking 100mg of B6 (plus whatever is in multivitamin I think 2 mg) for about a month and a half now to lengthen LP. I have done some more research online about this an have come across many different answers...I know the internet--don't believe it all, but I have read things on the Mayo Clinic site, etc. about nerve damage and other side effects and the RDA is only 1.9 mg max.

How much are you taking and for how long? What did your doc recommend?

I am now getting a little freaked and am probably going to stop taking it. I am the type of person who doesn't even like to take an Advil!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks!

Re: How much B6 is too much?

I think you may be reading the labels wrong. Are you saying MCG? micrograms? Otherwise yes you would be taking too much. If you are on 100 mcg and the daily limit is 1.9 mg you would be taking about 1/20th(approx.) of the daily limit..

Re: How much B6 is too much?

I don't think I am reading the labels incorrectly...The B6 label reads: 100mg 5,000% Daily Value.

The Multivitamin reads: 2 mg 100% Daily Value.

How much do you take? 5000% seems like alot more than needed??

Thanks
