DNC's
Has anyone here had one? Does it hurt? Do you have to stay in the hospital for any period of time?

Re: DNC's
I had a D and C a couple of weeks ago. It was a day-op procedure. However, I had not been PG, mine was part of other surgical diagnostic procedures that I had been under general anesthetic for. You should be able to go home the same day and rest afterwards. You may be a little crampy, but shouldn't experience much pain. I am sorry you have to go through this.

I had one after a m/c. I went into the hospital around 8 am and was sent home around noon. I had minor cramps and some bleeding.

Re: DNC's
I had one last September. In at 9am out by noon. I was under alocal, but still did not wake up until in the second recovery room. I cramped for a few days, my stomach swelled to the size of a 6 month pregnancy which is what set out my rage of emotions. Emotionally it took a very long time (still cry over it), physically I was normal again after a week.
