Is this a surge????
Here's a little history....my cycles have been 41 days for the last 7 cycles with the exception of one cycle (the one before the last) that was 34 days. My doctor thought I should start testing late like CD 17 ...from the opinions of the girls here I started testing last cycle on CD 11 which was positive (i think) but I got AF on CD42 making my luteal phase 28-29 days long. So I thought maybe it was a delayed ovulation and there was a second surge that I didn't test for since I stopped when I got a positive....
So this month I started today CD7 because I was getting these weird pains and had eggwhite CM....and I think I got a positive...what do you think?
And if its yes...has anyone had a really long luteal phase?
ETA: Picture was too big added to album!
Thanks ladies

What OPK's are u using? Maybe u can use the CBE digital ones (with the smiley face) so that you will know for sure if it is positive or not.

I'm using the Answer....sorry is this is silly what is CBE? Is it really expensive...I have 3 tests and one whole box of the Answer tests at home(7 tests). But I'm getting frustrated trying to figure this out

I don't think so ... it seems impossible to have a luteul phase that long.

That's what I am thinking...well...I'm going to continue testing since there is a line their which was slightly darker than the test line and I have CM, continue taking my temp and BDing just in case.

CBE=Clear blue easy OPK's
When you look at an OPK the test line HAS to be as dark or even better-darker than the control line to tell you are surging. Then after you get that surge you will prob o anywhere from 4-36 hours after that.
Are you charting your temps or just using OPK's?
If you chart your temps you will get to know a pattern and you will know when to use the opk's along with temps and cervical fluid to tell you when you are o'ing.

Re: Is this a surge????
I just started temping this cycle....today's temp is lower than the last 6 days but I won't know anything until I continue temping.
I'm sorry...the test line was slightly darker than the control line
Thanks ladies....

Re: Is this a surge????
Maybe you should ask to have your LH tested on CD 3. Some people have LH surges or erratic LH throughout their cycle and OPK's don't work for them.

I don't know what to think...I tested yesterday again at the same time and the line was slightly lighter than the control line. I'm going to continue testing and BDing just in case.
Its hard to believe its a surge since my cycles are so long...that would mean that I have a LP of 28-30 days!!!

You could get multiple surges during your cycle but only one O. Might just be the way your body works.

That's probably it...well this cycle I am temping too and I know that I won't be able to see a pattern yet....so I'll just keep testing and keep temping until God blesses me with a baby :)
