228 brush fires in FL right now
57 out of the 60 counties have active fires right now. Their are some interstates that are shut down.
We need the rain. Please do some rain dances for us
I know one of the fires that was near my office was started by someone who threw a cigarette out their window. That fire completely shut down the interstate.

I spoke with my grandfather's widow the other day. She is in Jupiter near where the flooding took place. Ironically their floods are from salt water & they are still on drought restriction. I hope the Tropical storm drops a bunch of rain on Fla

I just googled this and all I can say is  . Two kids were arrested anc charged with third degree felony for starting one of the fires. They are 10 and 12 yrs old, respectively, where were their parents while they were out starting fires?! 
Another one is really close to my "holy place", a big one is outside of Daytona Beach in New Smyrna.

We did with companies in Melbourne & they were just telling us this morning on how bad & smokey it is....

See - I don't think this is a fair statement - a 10 and 12 year old are very capable of walking down the block after school or being at a park and doing destructive things - I don't think this is the parent's fault.

I think it may have come off wrong, I posted this prior to having coffee. I meant that 10 & 12 yr olds should have known better. I understand parents work and cannot watch their kids 24-7-365.

My asthma is SOO bad because of them! Had to go to the dr and get put on steroids to help! It's soo smoky outside!

I am in North Port which is in Sarasota County and we had one really bad day of smoke. So far it's been ok but they are still active. I am on the southwest coast

spoke to my sis this morning, she's in Port Richey, and she said the smoke and ashes were horrible!!! 
she said the news report said that the wildlife in the Everglades is at serious risk. alligators are digging holes looking for water...it's bad! PLEASE, let it RAIN BUCKETS in Florida!!!
