Can anyone give me iPOD help?
I want to put my iPOD into manual mode b/c songs keep disappearing from my library...so - when I plug in my iPOD and put it on manual - how do I then get new songs onto my iPOD?
Someone told me, but I forgot - I think they said you need to drag the song from your library onto your iPOD icon? Is that how you do it?

Now - what if there's a song on my ipod that I want to take off - but I want to keep the iPOD in manual mode - can I still take the song off the pod somehow?

you have to find the song in your libary and uncheck it. i'm not an expert but i know the checked items go into the ipod. you can have songs in libary but not on ipod. on the next sync, it will update. remember, when you in manual, i beleive you need to tell it to sync

See - as far as I have always understood - if you sync the iPOD, the library is going to mirror your iPOD - so since there are songs currently on my ipod which, for some reason, are no longer in my library and i sync it - the songs will come off my ipod - it's happened before. That's how come I want to use it in manual mode - I'm just not exactly sure how - I know how to put it in manual mode, but am still trying to figure out how to then get songs onto the pod - sorry this is so long-winded!

Yes you drag the song into your IPOD icon from your library. This is how I do it also.
