Yaz BC Pill
Is anyone on Yaz?
If so, have you EVER experienced weight gain while on this pill or an increase in water weight??
Just curious because I recently switched and my Dr. assured me I would be fine with not gaining any weight from it- but I'm nervous so rather than worry myself I figured I would ask to put my mind at ease.
I'm just so worried because on the first pill I ever went on (I was 18) and it was OTC... I immediately gained like 10 pounds- it was CRAZY! So, I'm paranoid.

I hate this pill and I cannot wait to be on another one! YES I have gained weight!
Also with this one you need to be careful of blood clots because it does something with the potasium in your body....My legs constantly ache from leg cramps!

My knees have been hurting lately-- like my joints and stuff.
OMG I'd better not gain weight- she assured me that if I did not gain weight on the pill I was on before (Yasmin) that by switching to Yaz- I would be FINE. That's what she said!
The only reason I came off of Yasmin was b/c my sex drive was in the toilet.
What should I do? I have not gained any weight so far- I've been on it two weeks

I am not on it (i am on mircette), but one of my good friends was on YAZ and gained a lot of weight.

I haven't noticed a weight gain and I've been on it for a few months now.
I find that I don't really get a period that much but that's the only side effect.

this is exactly what my dr. told me would happen.
she said no weight gain if yasmin didn't cause one (which it didn't at all- it was great) but the only bad side was that i had NO sex drive... so i wanted to switch because of that.
so, i wanted everything about yasmin but the zero sex drive (sorry if it's TMI) and she said that it would not only do that BUT also reduce my period which of course i was like YAY!
hmm, i've been on it two weeks and have not gained an ounce-- when do you think I will be "out of the clear"? and can stop worrying??

I didn't have weight gain, I have a sex drive and I don't get my period. So go for it - all above is good for me!

I am half way thru my second pack and haven't gained any weight, but I have been going to the gym lately, I have lost 4lbs on it so far. I would stay on it and see what happens. And yeah I agree w/ an above poster, like almost no period!

You have a sex drive? Lucky you! LOL Mine is making a come-back!

I'll see what happens and if anything bad- I'll switch back to Yasmin right away and just buy Porn or something LOL LOL
