As if it wasn't bad enough...
Lugging myself to work everyday at an obscene hour so I can take a 2 hour lunch break to visit my dad at the hospital, and see him go through the deepest of humility, that no child should ever have to see...
But, then, to jump in a cab to get back to work, and as I'm getting out of the cab, I realize I was sitting in a big puddle of something, god knows what, and now my entire rear end, and my favorite black suit pants, are completely, sopping wet.

Yikes! So sorry you are going through this to begin with.
I know what you mean..you're a great daughter. This will all pay off.
Go home and get into dry clothes. You deserve some time off.
