Termites

Does anyone have a good pest control place. We called Terminix, suburban and Arrow. Terminix wants $1500 to start (meaning they will do the sentricon system) and $390 a year. Suburban wants $1940 to start and $300 a year. Arrow wants $2160 to start and not sure how much a year but about the same as the others per yr. Do these prices sound about right? Also has anyone used any of these companies? If so, which one do you recommend? How was your experience with them? TIA

weird question, why would you also be paying a per year rate? Wouldn't it be one treatment or two?

we have a contract with our termite company...its about $280 for the year....thats for 3 visits (I can call them to come out more if needed). they check the traps around the house for any activity and put the poison in thre traps if they find anything.

IMO its so worth it to have a contract, especially if you have had problems, like we had.

For a yearly contract it would cost those extra prices. They would come back each year to fill the sentricon systems and see how things are.
Just to get the sentricon system to be put in, it is that large price.

How long ago did you sign a contract with them? I know each year the yearly fee goes up.
Also, would they put in the sentricon system? Do you have any idea how much they charge for that?

Those all seem high. We stipulated in our contract for termite treatment and replacement for our house.

They used a local company out of Ridge that was associated with our inspection company and we saw the receipt at closing, it was no more than $500 for everything and we now have fresh traps all around the permiter of the house and pressure treated wood and the yard was sprayed as well. We'll have this company come back 1x a year if no termites show up.
