IUI
Hi Ladies,
I am new to the boards and just wanted to say hi to everyone. I have a quick question, has anyone had a successful IUI? I am in the process of preparing for my first IUI with Bravelle.

I had a successful IUI. Just found out Tuesday, so I personally think they're worth it. It was my fourth one (and was going to be my last -- I would have moved on to IVF).

There have been quite a few successful IUI's on this board. A few were successful the first time around, but most take a couple of tries.
An IUI increases your chance of getting PG (barring any further issues) about 20% so they don't necessarily work the first time.

I got PG on my 2nd IUI, unfortunately that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I pray that the IUI works for you. If you need anymore information don't hesistate to ask.

I got pg with my third IUI using clomid. I had the paperwork with me to submit for IVF when I got my BFP.
eta: The month I did get pg, I had 5 inseminations.

Thank you ladies. I am sooo nervous about it all because I want it to work so bad. This has been very hard on DH and I.
lulugrrl, laurenexp, doodles and 2003...congrats! 
I am so happy to hear the success stories. Doodles - how come 5? My RE is doing 2 back to back...is that okay? Was there any reason yours did 5?
I am so sorry calendargirl and boosh 
Have you decide what your next steps are going to be? Will you be having more IUIs?

Well I'm going to try again in another month or two. Hopefully I can ovulate on my own which I have been and i'll try naturally, if not then I'll take clomid again w/iui....good luck to you.

After the 2 miscarriages me and DH underwent alot of blood tests for genetic testing, etc. My doctor wants to find out why I am having these miscarriages.
Our next step will be IVF but that isnt happening until September. Good Luck to you!!

I had 2 iuis which were both miraculously successful. After the first I moscarried at ten week. But this time I am 21 weeks pregnant and hoping for the best. Good luck.
