so embarrased
today i had a meeting with a spa owner who used to work with my old boss so I knew him but didn't really know him if that makes any sense. Anyway, I get there, he shakes my hand and then puts out his arms as if he's going to hug me. So I hugged him and he goes "oh a hug too? how nice." He was just being expressive with his hands and I totally interpreted it the wrong way. I'm sure he's not thinking about it anymore but I just feel like such a loser

AWE don't be embarrassed! That reminds me of the Friends episode where Rachel kisses the guy who interviewed her because she misinterpreted his gestures, lol! I know it's embarrassing now, but tomorrow you'll laugh about it!

did you ever see that friends episode where rachel was on an interview and had ink on her lip? the guy interviewing her touched his lip to try and tell her she had something there and she thought he wanted her to kiss him..

OMG! That sounds like something that would happen to me! I swear I'm a walking Seinfeld episode. Think about it--hugging is a nice thing to do. The world needs more hugs. You probably made his day.

Sorry, but this really made me laugh. Probably because I can relate to it ... I'd be thinking about it for DAYS to come, but in reality, I'm SURE the other guy isn't giving it a second thought!
