Who is TTC that has an apt??
DH and I will be actively ttc soon. One of the things that he constantly brings up is... We only live in a 1 bed-rm so we will not have a separate room for our baby.
Of course it would be nice, but I would be ecastic just to have a beautiful healthy baby.
Am I wrong?? Please be honest!

No you are not wrong. When I had my son DH and I were living in my old childhood bedroom in my parents house. Yeah it was rough fitting everything in but we made do. We only had what was needed at the time in the room. We dreamed of moving to a huge 2 bedroom apartment at the time but it just wasn't in the cards yet so we had to deal. Sometimes you just can't move. 
We stayed in my parents house till my son was 3 years old. In alot of ways I think we are alot closer because of it. Even now that we are in our apartment we still always end up in one room  together even though we have our own bedrooms. Like we watch tv in our sons room while he plays lol I guess its just old habits.

We have an apartment, but it is a two bedroom. Personally, I think it would be difficult to have one bedroom with a baby, but it's a matter of personal choice and comfort. I know a single mom who lives in a studio and she has the happiest baby I've ever seen!

We live in a 2 bedroom, and we will make due if we have to, but I want to start looking for a place in August, our lease is up in October.

I have said this before and I will say it again. Many of us come from generations where our parents had one bedroom apartments raising 2 and three kids. The parents slept in the living room and the kids had the bed room. They worked it out until they could get a house. My sister converted a 1 bedroom apartment with an L-shaped livingroom/dining room into a 2 bedroom apartment. Some people do fine in studios. There are many young couples who are blessed to own homes with multiple bedrooms, but just as many (if not more) have small one bedroom apartments. You will be just fine!

DH slept in a dresser drawer his first few weeks in his parents tiny 1-BR Manhattan apt. His dad is the world's biggest planner so this story makes me laugh. It was still several months before they moved to a 2-BR.
It's not ideal...but it's not impossible. Since you are still at the TTC stage and once you are pregnant will have 9 months to plan, why not start looking for a larger apt?

We're renting from the in-laws.  Our space is very limited and I keep asking DH where he thinks we will put a baby and his response is always the same - "we'll work it out."

My sister survived a year in one bedroom of my parents house. It was her, her husband, a 3year old and a newborn. All in one bedroom. It can be done  .

We were actually looking at houses but nothing really grabbed us. We have it pretty good right now...we do not pay rent. Dh's father owns the house we live in ,it's a 2 family home. We figured we could save lots of money without having to pay rent.

My FH and I own a 1 bedroom Co-op we like the lifestyle of living in a Co-op and as much as we want a house, we don't know if we would be able to keep up with it...
So for now we are thinking of stying in our 1 bedroom until we get prego and possibly in a few years move up to a house.
We also have a large L shape living room in which I have seen other people make the dining room area into a Bedroom... this is also an option for us but we aren't sure if we are going to do that.
Its no big deal to live in an 1 bedroom apt with children... people in the NYC do it everyday!
Of course you are going to have to just minimize the amount of stuff you get becuase you might not have as much room, but that will also be good for the budget hahahha
