here I go again, another ovulation question....
So I go to lunch with my friend and forget I have to not go to the bathroom for 4 hours.... stupid me goes and realizes this on my ride home.... I try to hold it for a few hours , but no luck and at this pt I want to get in my 48 oz of water( I am prone to kidney infections and this flushes things out )... anyway, I take the test and the line looks a little darker in the middle and lighter on the sides, then an hour later I get MAJOR ovulation pains so I had to take advil, so I am wondering when I test tomorrow will I most likely get a positive on the OPK or did I miss my window of confirming it today with the test because I did not think when I went to the ladies room. Also, I have been pretty ignorant , I always thought I ovulated on day 10 and it is later then day 10, it is day 12, so I was timing it all wrong before I started to really get in tune with my body. So , my question is will I still get a positive on the OPK, or do I chalk this up to I ovulated already and will continue to get negatives.... sorry for so many questions , I am pretty new to this. Am I wasting my timw on the OPK's if I felt ovulation cramps? ( they were on my lower right side right by my leg and thigh ) Sorry if TMI. TIA

I would take the test again, just in case, if you ovulated already it will be a faint line.
The dark line comes 24-36 hours before you ovulate.
Not sure if I answered your question.... but good luck!

I would keep testing also. Do you normally get such severe ovulation cramps? The reason I ask is that what I thought were ovulation pains really had nothing to do with ovulation. I ovulated much later than i thought. Also, I was taking the tests without holding it for 4 hours (I also drink a lot of water thru-out the day) and I got a + two days in a row. If I were you I would buy the Clear Blue Easy digital OPK because the smiley face takes all the guess work out of it.

I agree - I would continue testing. Especially since this is your first month using OPKs, it will give u a good idea of things...like, it will give you a better idea if those pains were in fact O pains.

Re: here I go again, another ovulation question....
I drink TONS of water during the day and pee all the time. There is no way I would be able to hold it for 4 hours. I have been testing at 8pm and that would be MAYBE a 2-3 hour hold, tops! I got a +opk for 3 months this way so don't worry too much. And I agree to keep testing, even twice a day if you are unsure. Good luck!!
