name question

My DH is thinking of using his first name and a different middle name if we have a boy. Is this strange? I told him it won't be a junior but that's ok with him, though I think everyone will assume it is. What do you think?

My DH has his dads first name and a different middle. Nothing strange about it.

My brother has my dad's first name but diff middle - I actually know a lot of ppl who did this. Not strange at all!

Well, he'll be glad to hear that! I just didn't know of anyone doing it that way, so I thought it would be odd. Thanks so much for your input. Now we just have to agree on the middle name!

I think it's perfectly fine. If we used DH first name, we would have picked a different middle name or used his first name as the middle name

My grandmother-in-law on DH's dad's side did this. She didn't like the middle name of her husband [who was the 2nd] so she changed the middle name. Now DH is the 2nd not the 4th.

[as for me, i won't use it for a 3rd or start fresh with a new middle name b/c i am tired of the name and being confused as to who we are talking about ]
