temping
ok so i think i will try temping this month..maybe use it as a trial month without really ttc.. can someone tell me how to do it, what am i looking for? what it all means..? one of the dr.s i work for said its a rectal temp i'm hoping that's not true..

You should read Taking Charge of Your Fertility...great info in that book.
You have to take your temp (orally is fine) with a basal thermometer ($9.99) every morning before you do anything...literally wake up and grab thermometer. Chart it and you will see a pattern when your temp rises above normal you ovulated.

I would use software like Fertility Friend -the basic charting is free, and in my opinion, that's all you really need.
Be sure to take your temp at the same time every morning, before you do anything, before you even move or talk.
FF is get because you can add your temp and the changes in the CM, and voila - your ovulation is predicted. Granted, with temping, you only truly know when you ovulate after the fact - so watching your CM is key to knowing that your ovulation is approaching. You can also use OPK's too.
