TTC and the dentist
I have an emergency appt. with the dentist today, a filling fell out and my tooth then cracked. What are some things I should/shouldn't have done. I am currently in the 2WW so I won't know for a while if I am PG, should I tell the dentist that I am currently TTC?

I would tell your dentist that you are TTC. He will know what you can and can not do.

Re: TTC and the dentist
I hope your appt went well. I went in for an emergency appt just recently during my pregnancy. The dentist can use a different type of novacaine.

Re: TTC and the dentist
I am going to need so much work done, I went in because a tooth that I had a root canal in, the perm. filling fell out, and part of the tooth chipped, well upon further x-rays the tooth still has infection in it, and the tooth itself is in such bad shape that they want to pull it, and now I will either have to get a bridge made, or a dental implant to fill in the space, which is going to cost alot $$$$$$, I have to make an appt. to get it pulled, and go over my options, so I don't know what this is going to mean for TTC......

Re: TTC and the dentist
As I was TTC I also found out I had a lot of work to get done. I scheduled as many appts as I could between AF and O. I also told her that if I was cancelling appts, it was a good thing. I went back in at week 15 of my pregnancy because 2 teeth were killing me. One got taken care of at my last appt, but now it looks like I need a root canal. That is scheduled for week 17 so far.
Keep doing what you can. They give you novacaine without epi, which is safe during pregnancy. Although, no dental work is recommended in the first trimester. That's why I held off and dealt with the pain.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
