Do you know what your levels are?
When I had my miscarriage my doctor told me that my levels had to be at 0 before we started again.

Sorry for your loss
Doc wanted us to wait 1 af cycle.
We didn't, i conceived DD 2-3 weeks after my m/c.
You will get lots of varying answers on this, everyone's doc's are different

After a D&C, my doc said to wait 2 cycles so the lining could get "rich" again. I really don't feel like another D&C so I listened, just paranoia I guess.
I asked him what would happen if we got pg sooner, he said it's okay, just not recommended....

was this a D&C or natural m/c? If natural I was told we could start after the n4ext AF which would be right away really..

This is what I was told as well. When I became pregant with DS I had about two cycles but had to go on progesterone. I'm thing that I'll have to do that again since I had another MC after DS was born.
It's been 2 cycles this time and I feel better emotionally. I read that it is suggested that you wait three months due to the emotionall side. I can see that.
The doctor probably wants to make sure you are at your best.

Re: How long after a M/C should you start trying again?
I had a m/c very early on, no D&C required. I was told to wait one cycle. So I did, and got pg. 2nd cycle trying again.

I had a D&C on March 3, 2006, got my period on April 1, 2006 and got pregnant that cycle. I was told to wait two month too.
But here is the result <----------------------------------

I waited until first AF then we tried and I am pregnant already. I think they say to wait one cycle to let your body regulate back to normal and to make sure your levels go back to 0

Re: How long after a M/C should you start trying again?
I had a M/C 4 weeks ago today (and had a D&C), my period still has not come. My dr told me to wait until 6 weeks have passed before calling her. At that point she plans to put me on Provera to bring it on. She told me the chances of another M/C increase if you get pregnant too early after a D&C b/c your uteran lining isn't ready. She suggested I wait until I've had two periods before trying.
That being said, my cousin's wife had two M/C (one with D&C) and got pregnant one cycle after the second M/C and the baby was perfectly healthly.
Considering the emotional factor and anxiousness around the next pregnancy, my DH and I plan to wait as the dr suggested. I want to do anything I can to ensure the next one sticks!
I also wanted to say that I'm sorry about your M/C.

Re: How long after a M/C should you start trying again?
I had a M/C at the end of October, and got my period at the end of November- and got PG on that cycle. I'm now 16 weeks (tomorrow)!
When I got PG again, I talked to my dr about it- and asked her if I should be concerned that I got PG so soon after my m/c- even though she told me to wait 2-3 cycles too. She told me not be concerned- and the reason why they tell people to wait that long is mostly for dating purposes- like how to date the pregnancy.
Good Luck! I'm here to help if you have any questions!
