yes 2 LONG months.
I was 14 and he was 15 when we started dating. In 2000 I was 19 almost 20 we broke up.  but now we are married

Not us. We were in a long distance relationship for the first 2 years. Then he went to his academy for 6 months. We spent enough time apart, we didn't want anymore.

It wasn't really a breakup...we were living together at the time and things were starting to get stressful...we had a fight, and he moved home for a few days...

We dated in high school for a short time and then broke up just because I didn't want a boyfriend at the time, we continued to see each other every once in while around and then I went to college and moved to Florida and got married so we took a looooonnnngggg break and then 8 years later we got back together!

No, we were a bit older (I was 29, he was 31) when we met and had both been in relationships before. We knew it was "the one" after only a few weeks of dating.

No. We met at 32 and 35... at the age of 35 if he needed "a break" that would have been the end. I think I would have given him a different kind of break...LOL.
I could see it if you are very young or if a school/work situation causes you to have a long distance between you for a while.
We were 31 and 32, and the same would have been the case for us- if he'd initiated a break, I would have said "Have a nice life".
When I was in my early 20s my long-term bf wanted a "break" and honestly, I often think it's bs and a wimpy way of saying "I don't want to be with you and I am too chicken to break up with you."
