Asking Price v. Purchase Price

For those who purchased/gone into contracts on home within the past 6 months, how much (if any) did you pay below asking price?

Re: Asking Price v. Purchase Price

the house we bought was priced right for the area and condition, therefore we offered full asking price. there were also two other offers on the house. we lost one house to another offer of asking price. if the house is price right, it will go for asking price or close.

Re: Asking Price v. Purchase Price

We offered lower that what we got first and then the sellers said what their bottom line was. We wound up paying $15K below asking. But our house was priced right for the market and we saw enough to know that.

Re: Asking Price v. Purchase Price

$12,500 below asking is what we agreed on. The house was priced very reasonably for the area and the size of the property.

10K less. But again, our house was priced right for the area, and needed nothing except paint and wood floors done.

Re: Asking Price v. Purchase Price

we paid 114k less then ORIGINAL asking price.

we paid 54k less then the final asking price.

this is how great the timing was and how bad these people needed to get out of there house!

now we own a big house in a great area with an awesome school district!

Was reduced $26K from original price, and then they went down another $20K from our offer. So I guess you can say $46K in total less than asking.

We paid asking price. It was priced to sell and we would have lost the deal if we didn't. Chat Icon
