When you went of BCP...
...how long did it take for you to see the side effects of the BCP go away?
Did your period regulate back to normal pretty quickly?

Re: When you went of BCP...
i stoped taking the pill on a monday and i got AF on that thursday. but then i didn't get it for a month. now, i think things are back to normal.
i didn't really have side effects from the pill so i can't answer that question.

Re: When you went of BCP...
It took about 2 months for my body to regulate itself.
I had really bad headaches for the majority of those 2 months, but I feel absolutely FANTASTIC now!
My periods have been regular and not overly heavy (sorry if TMI).
It was the best decision for me at this point. I wanted to clear out my body so when we actually do TTC, my body will be ready (hopefully).

Re: When you went of BCP...
My cycle was wildly irregular before BCP, with cycle lengths anywhere between 15 and 40 days, with periods lasting as short as 5 days, and as long as 12 days. In fact, that craziness was the reason I started BCP. My last BCP was November. I have been averaging 24 day cycles since then.

Re: When you went of BCP...
it really varies on the person. I was regular like clockwork before I was on the pill, now that I've been off since August, my last natural period was back in October. I got AF in January but that was because my doctor gave me something to start it. I was told yesterday at another dr visit that it can take up to a year for your body to regulate after being on the pill.

Re: When you went of BCP...
I've been off bcp for 3 months and I have been regular ever since. I do get more cramps and pms is a killer but the benefits outweighed the negatives for me...BD is so much more enjoyable off bcp!!

Re: When you went of BCP...
Ooh, glad you posted this. I stopped the pill last month after being on it for 7 years. I was normal beforehand and have yet to get it this month...I normally had a 28 day cycle and now I am at 34 days and still waiting. I never thought I'd want AF to come! Glad to see this may be normal.

I've been off for about 2 weeks and I've been getting really bad headaches every day for the last week
I'm also going to see the doctor tomorrow because I'm dealing with some other "issues" that I had posted about earlier.
