Re: for those who test early...
i think the answer to this question is different for everyone. i tested the day before i expected AF (POD 12) because i was having some symptoms, and i got a BFN. i tested 2 days after that (POD 14, when AF was one day late) and got a BFP.
but there are people who have tested MUCH earlier than that and gotten BFPs.

Re: for those who test early...
There have been bfp's on here as early as 8 DPO, but thats pushing it. I would wait until 11 and still don't be disappointed if you don't see anything. GL!

I tested 12DPO and got a BFP. It was still a waiting game becasue you wonder if AF will come.

Re: for those who test early...
With both PG's I got a positive at 9dpo. The first PG it was a lot darker because I had earlier implantation than the second PG.

Re: for those who test early...
how did you know to test?? were you having symptoms or were you just anxious to know... with my kids i waited till i had symptoms and that was around 6 weeks!!

Re: for those who test early...
i tested on 12dpo after i started to feel a tingling sensation in my nipples on 11dpo... this was my sister's "telltale" sign of her pregnancies, and it was the first time i had ever experienced such a thing, so i figured i'd test.
when that test was BFN, i waited until my period was late. i occasionally have cycles shorter than 28 days, but never in recent memory have i had one longer than 28 days... so when AF day came and went without her showing, i figured something was definitely up...

Re: for those who test early...
I had some symptoms but that's not why I tested. I was charting and had no patience to wait!

I was an addict, I couldn't wait to be late to test, and I was having symptoms. With #2 I just knew it and kept getting BFN's until 12 dpo, i just needed the test to turn positive to confirm my intuition.
DD BFP at 9 dpo #2 BFP at 12 dpo
Both were faint BFP's.

Re: for those who test early...
I just went to the dr. for my annual and he told me it was better to test once AF was late in order to get a more definite and accurate result...it is torture but I think it's better than getting BFN's and then AF showing up.
