What's the difference
between a basal body thermometer and a digital fever thermometer - beside the price??
I understand the difference when using an old fashion mercury thermometer, but I can't seem to fathom why I should spend $$ on a BBT.

Re: What's the difference
The basal thermometers are only $10-$15 and it's what you need to chart. You will not get an accurate temp with a regular thermometer.

I know you should use a BBT, but I didn't. I used a regular digital that I had at home. It worked good enough for me.

Re: What's the difference
Basals usually read to the hundreths instead of just the tenths so it is more accurate.I got mine at Rite Aid for like $12.
