So I decided
I'm going for the beta test tomorrow. Even though I think it's only 9 days PO, if the doctor said to come in-I guess she knows more than I do.
PLEASE keep DH and I in your prayers..we really want this. I have the sore boobs, tired/sluggish, and the cramps I had when I was pregnant in november...so I hope it's all true and not just my mind playing a cruel trick on me!
Good luck and I hope this month brings a lot of positives for us all!!

That's what I thought...maybe because it's a blood test they can detect it relatively quickly? Do you think I should wait even when the DR said to come in?

Why would the Doc want you in so soon? at 9dpo, a negative beta could happen and you could still be pregnant?
I mean, why waste your time?
I would wait till at least 12dpo. Thats the earliest you should test, beta or not?

After the miscarriage she said she wants to detect it ASAP so I can start progesterone. I don't want my & DH's emotions played with after all we went through. So you think I should wait until maybe Thursday? Even IF the Dr. said to come in? Last period started 1/16

I just think if its negative , it could mean nothing ya know? I would wait a day or two more...

True... we're just so anxious and want this so bad. I just don't understand why she would tell me to go early. Think going Wed/Thursday is a better bet?

When I was on progesterone(prescribed by an RE) I took it at 1dpo every TTC cycle. I don't see why she wouldn't just prescribe it now? It can't hurt form what I read and been told by Dr's.

I just moved from LI to Florida in July...I swear, they do everything backwards down here! Should I bring it up tomorrow? She did say it was $3 a suppository(?sp) and the only thing I can think of is she's trying to save me money because my grand old teacher's insurance pays for nada!
So if you guys take it, can you explain more about it to me?

me too... my understanding is that progesterone helps if you don't have enough, and taking it when you do have enough can't hurt you. so if your doctor is concerned about your progesterone level, why not just put you on it? i agree, it seems a bit early to do a beta.
