Does anyone else find this picture odd???

oooh yeah...not sure that I would be comfy with that...I always thought that the table had a hole and when laying on your tummy the actually tummy went there.  then the sheet kinda covered the rest of you.

thats what I thought! but apparently alot of places do not.
There are some trigger spots u cannot hit on preggos.

I wouldn't be comfy with that.
I had a pg massage with DD and i was totally covered except the part she was massaging.
She did massage my coolie though, but through the sheet. I felt like i was walking on a cloud afterwards

Oh I will!!! And yes, at this place they do the side massage, they don't believe in the belly hole tables. Which, IMO, I wasn't really that comfy with my belly hanging down through a hole.

Since this is my "profession", the best position for pregnant women is side lying on their left side.
Every bellys is different. The table you are talking about is very expensive and it's a "one size fit all". In another word, does not fit all women. You would also need holes for breasts or a cushioning system.
The positioning for side lying includes a pillow under the belly, between the legs and under the head. You may even want to put a smaller one under her arm and side (top portion). It's actually very confortable.
The picture shows a women whose breasts are slightly exposed. In the State of NY, it is concidered immoral conduct to do so without asking the permission of the female client. In addition, you actually need a medical reason for exposing the breasts (reaching the muscles underneath).
The focus of the massage is relaxation with a focus on lower back and buttocks. That's what usually hurts in PG women. I usually inform my clients about what I do. Especially if I need to touch their buttocks. But that's me. Some massage therapist doing it without asking.

Yes, please. Coolie means something specific to me, and I'm thinking it would be a step too far!! Happy Ending anyone??
I've had a pre-natal massage and it started out on my back, propped up, then on each side with a snoogle-like pillow.
It was different, but it was HEAVEN.

Your butt is a muscle too I was taken aback at first, but it's not like she carressed it, it was more like pushing and pressing, kinda like rolling out dough. Borderline hurting. She only massaged the bottom of my butt, the part that meets your upper thigh.
She did skin to skin on the thigh, and as soon as she hit the upper thigh she covered me wholey in the sheet.
ETA: My massage took about an hour, she massaged everything except my feet. It really was heaven and best of all it was free! My company last year, pays for managers to have a spa day as a holiday gift.
