Ronkonkoma
What exit off the LIE is Ronkonkoma? DH & I want to check out the Ronkonkoma/Farmingville area to see how much more bang for our buck we can get out there. I'm coming from downtown Manhattan and the farthest I usually travel on the LIE is to exit 53 where my mom lives...I'm not too familiar with any towns farther east than W. Islip. Thanks

62 is nichols road.
I think when you get off that is technically Holtsville, than farmingville, centereach, and then stonybrook/setauket all the way at the end.

I work in Stony Brook and love that area! I would move to Stony Brook in a minute if we could afford it!

Exit 62 gives you a few areas. Right off exit 62 is holtsville which is a very nice area, farmingville is too. You also can take nicholas road and get to selden, centereach, setauket, stonybrook

The house we're seeing tomorrow (for the second time) is right off exit 62, still considered Ronk...we *may* be neighbors soon
