not the infant carrier the real carset.

We only registered for the infant seat because with the chang eof opinion on the SafeSeat, we were concerned that by the time we needed the next seat things would change or something new would come out that we wanted.
But I would be interested to see what others say....

Britax Marathon
It holds up to 65 lbs which was the big sell for me. This holds so much and saftey rates so high.

my friend told me NOT to register for one and jsut wait, because you wont be using it for at least a year...by then it may have a recall, or something better will come out

We had a 2004 Snugride which went to 26 inches and Sarah was out of it by 6 months, Andy by 5 months.
I think the new ones go to 28 inches, which Andy was at 6 months, Sarah around 7.5 months.
So your boys may be out of them before a year old.

I only registered for a SnugRide.
I kind of feel that something like that DH and I should buy ourselves because it isn't something we will need right away.
Also, my SIL registered for both an infant seat and a convertible one and she only got the convertible one at her shower and had to go and buy an infant seat.

I registered now for one, because of the cost. I felt if we could receive it as a gift it would be a huge help for us....same with the stroller. And we have two carss and need two convertible seats. We hope to get one at the shower.

a lot of my friends recommended registering for a reasonable priced one now, so i just registered for the $99 evenflo one.

We registered for the bigger one because it goes to 65 lbs (about) and will probably be the last carseat we need. This way we won't have to get a booster seat later on.
