Im really nervous and need some hugs...UPDATED

I just got home and there was a message on my machine that I need to get in touch with my doctor right away. I had my 1 hour GTT and anemia check this am but even if I failed it why would they say to call "right away". The message was very adamant. I work in the medical field and unless the patient is damn near dying we dont leave messages like that. Now Im nervous and wont be able to sleep.

Ok so I call the Dr. at nine and the nurse tells me that I have to go for an urgent 3 hr GTT because I failed my 1 hr test miserably. My test was 209 mg/dl!!!! I asked her to repeat that # again because I couldnt believe it was that high. I normally have low b/s. So I am going 1st thing Monday am and they will process it in time for my appt Monday night. Im pretty nervous. Even though Im a big girl I have always been in excellent medical shape.

hi-- I really don't have anything to really say in regards to your test, cause I know nothing about it. But I saw your post and wanted to respond.

I have had this happen to me with doctors before-- where the actual info was nothing important. Sometimes they are so insensitive and do no think about the consequences a message can have on someone.

Try not to think about it--- for all you know, they maybe misplaced your insurance information.

Relax and try to get a good night's sleep.

try to relax until you speak to them, it really may just be something silly like they need some insurance info or something.

They could be like my doctors who seem to forget which last name I have now, or what my address is. (Even though I moved in September 2005, and got married 9 months ago and changed my name immediately.) They always leave me frantic messages because they can't bill insurance because they still haven't changed my name on all the paperwork and they get confused which one is right. Don't worry!!!!

it will be ok. and after u tt him u will want to smack him, worst case senario they want to watch your diet.
it will all work out...

Try not to worry! I failed my 1 hour and passed my 3 hour with no problem! Good Luck!

oh man. i had to take the three hour test also. its not bad, just bring a good book.
