dinner
is everyone really coming home everyday from work and cooking dinner?
i am so wiped out when i get home and the thought of even chopping something as small as a garlic clove makes me exhausted! but then i'm starving and just make something simple like a sandwich and frozen veggies and feel frustrated that i'm just eating something "just to eat" and not something i really want.
what are you all cooking??

Re: dinner
When I was preggo most times I stepped foot in my kitchen to grab something quick from my fridge or cabinet to eat... I NEVER cooked anything more than pasta. I was too tired and didn't care honestly, DH had to fend for himself!

Re: dinner
get used to it Lisa. I swear pregnancy is just training for what follows. When those twins are here you will be eating sandwiches every night
ETA: and you know you have to adjust quickly because twins tend to come early

Re: dinner
OMG...Lisa, this is so funny, cause my poor husband is starving. I HATE to cook anymore. I am too tired at night and well the food smells and throwing up doesnt help.
Im so glad Im not alone.

Re: dinner
This is the first week since I found out I was pregnant that I actually cooked 3 nights in a row! I LOVE to cook too, so it's really unusual for me.....

Re: dinner
i told my husband that we are going to have to make some time on sundays to cook a few meals and have them ready for the week. but i hate that idea too because i want to lay on the couch and take naps on sundays!

Re: dinner
On the days I feel up to it, I try to cook more than one dish and extra portions so I can freeze some or have leftovers for the next night.
Last Friday, I was a dynamo in the kitchen... three meals. On Sunday I was and just defrosted. Of course, I've occassionally popped a Trader Joe's pizza in the oven or told DH, it's all him.
