UUgggh....jury duty- is there a pregnancy clause?
I am on call for jury duty on Monday. I don't mind doing it, it's just I'm 20 weeks and still fighting morning sickness! I already postponed it because it was the first week of school (I'm a teacher) and now I'm sorry I did. Hopefully they will have some sympathy

Just tell them the truth. They may kick you out. Maybe get a doctor's note with LOTS of restrictions. "must take breaks every 2 hours, must have water and food in the court room, etc..."

My mom was pregnant with me when called for jury duty. She said she wouldnt mind staying if the judge didnt mind delivering the baby. Needless to say she was happily denied. Gotta love her.

Re: UUgggh....jury duty- is there a pregnancy clause?
you may be able to get out of it, try to get a note from your dr regarding any restrictions, frequent urination, getting up to stretch, etc.
Unfortunately, i got called for Special Grand Jury Duty last month and they wanted me to go to hauppauge every tuesday and thursday from january til june, and they said b/c its special grand jury, you couldnt get out of it due to any medical restrictions like above, but if anyone was unable to volunteer, they would be calling us all back for it again in 3-6 months. So, great, they will be calling me back in march when i have a newborn, they will have to give me another extension......
