I use FF to chart-I can NEVER seem to set a proper time to temp...I know you have to be asleep for at least 3 hours. That being said, I can't do it first thing when the alarm goes off because our darling cat wakes us up every night at 3:30, sometimes 4:15, 5:30...therefore, I would have had the three hours of steady sleep.

What would you do? I want to be consistent Chat Icon

I usually fall asleep around 10 or 10:30. Sometimes even earlier Chat Icon

Re: What would you recommend?

The reason I ask is to see where you can get a nice chunk of time. I work weekends where I am up at odd hours, earliest is about 3:45-4am. During the week I wake up at 6-7. I tried just temping after at least 3 full hours of sleep, but still had a rocky mountain looking chart.

So- I set my alarm for 4 am EVERYDAY. I'd wake up, temp, and at the beep I'd put the thermometer on the nightstand and go right back to sleep.

It sucked, but that was the first month I had a nice, clean, UNDERSTANDABLE chart.

If the only issue is the cat waking you, then I would suggest kitty needs to be locked out of the room, at least til you figure out your cycle enough.

I agree about the cat, believe it or not, he wiggles the doorknob, which wakes you anyway...Chat Icon

I think I will set the alarm for say 2:30 and just deal with it. Thanks for your help!

I would just try to take it as soon as you wake up the first time..You can adjust your time each day on FF, but they recommend taking it at the same time each day
