Update on my fibroid situation....

First off- THANK you so much for the well wishes. I'm feeling OK, although still in pain.

My OB just called- she was FINALLY able to review my lab and sono from Thurs night (I was at a different hospital's ER- and they were less than helpful at getting my chart to my OB).

There was never a UTI, and I have a very large fibroid just outside my uterus, on the left. I also have numerous other fibroids, including one just in front of my bladder (which would explain the bladder pain). Apparently, they are all dying off, which would explain the pain.

I'm still in quite a bit of pain, although it's mostly at night when I'm lying down. The painkillers definitely help. She also reassurred me that the Tylenol w/codeine is perfectly safe in pg and doesn't cross the placenta.

Again, I cannot stress this enough- get ALL pain checked out. If you truly don't feel "normal", then there is likely something wrong. Had I not pushed the issue with the pain I was feeling, I would have been home alone and would have needed to call an ambulance.
