Ovulite

I just wanted to tell you girls, I bought this thing years ago called "ovulite" its like a little microscrope which you use to test your saliva to see if you see fern like patterns in the saliva. When you do you are supposedly fertile. For me, I used it to #1 NOT get pregnant and #2 to see if I was EVER fertile since I was convinced I was never going to be able to get pregnant (I don't know why I thought that).

Anyway, as you know I had a m/c in October. BUT, August 19th we had sex not BDing (wedding was Sept 10th) and in the morning I sensed myself ovulating not when I was supposed to be, I think with the stress of the wedding and everything my body was confused (I am very in tune to my body) so I bust out the good old Ovulite and I tested my saliva and sure enough there were ferns. Low and behold I ended up getting pregnant. So maybe in addition to all the money you are spending on OPK's this little device was only like $30 and it's good over and over and over. About 3 years later I still use mine. Just thought I would share my story...Good luck....as I wait for AF....

wow, that is so interesting! anyone know how the ferning is associated with fertility?

It has something to do with the chemistry of your body changing. If you look when you are not fertile it will just be random bubbles

that is so awesome! who would have thought you could predict ovulation by what comes out of your MOUTH?! all of these fertility signs never cease to amaze me...
